To prepare Fire Recruit Candidates for the CPAT the Milwaukee Brotherhood of Firefighters will be hosting practice sessions focusing on the stair stepper evolution, which has the highest fail rate of all of the CPAT events and is the hardest to duplicate. Candidates will have multiple attempts to complete the stairs evolution while wearing the 75# vest.


 


In order to participate candidates are required to dress appropriately by wearing long pants, a sleeved shirt and athletic shoes. A nominal fee of $5 is being charged to cover the cost of the leased space, machine maintenance, and replacement vests.


 


Persons who are on the current eligibility list for the Milwaukee Fire Department and were contacted by the Milwaukee Fire and Police Commission will receive priority for these practice sessions. Click here to view a video of the Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT)

    To prepare Fire Recruit Candidates for the Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) the Milwaukee Brotherhood of Firefighters will be hosting practice sessions focusing on the stair stepper evolution, which has the highest fail rate of all of the CPAT events and is the hardest to duplicate. Each session will consist of doing the actual stair climbing portion of the CPAT while wearing a 75lb weighted vest. In order to participate Fire Recruit Candidates are required to dress appropriately by wearing functional workout attire.  A nominal fee of $5 is being charged to cover the cost of the leased space, machine maintenance, and replacement vests.

     

    Persons who are on the current eligibility list for the Milwaukee Fire Department and were contacted by the Milwaukee Fire and Police Commission will receive first priority for these practice sessions.
