FIRE EDUCATION

MBFF 2020

The Milwaukee Brotherhood of Firefighters (MBFF), was established in 1979 as a chapter of the North Central Region of the International Association of the Black Professional Firefighters. Since our inception, our mission has been to address the under-representation of minority groups in the fire and EMS service, through activities that support recruitment, education, and engagement to communities of color in the processes that affect our personal and professional lives.

Taking into account the social and political environment that Milwaukee residents currently are faced with, our longstanding mission is more critical than ever. The current pandemic, combined with a renewed social and racial awareness, continues to highlight the impact of existing and new disparities in communities of color. For decades, our face-to-face fundraising activities have enabled us to provide much-needed scholarship funds to students pursuing careers in firefighting and EMS.

While we’ve adapted our fundraising activities to align with the current climate, proceeds from your purchase will continue to support our long-standing efforts, with an additional focus on providing the technical and supplemental financial resources to students who continue to be challenged with meeting their educational requirements.

The MBFF proudly continues to adapt in ways that enable us to still serve our communities and advance our mission, while taking into account the unique challenges that we encounter on a daily basis. On behalf of the well-deserving students that will receive your donations, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
